You can expect these problems with a quick online purchase!
Many puppies arrive sick with their new owners: They become infected due to poor hygiene and a lack of vaccinations at the kennel or during the stressful transportation. They often also suffer from inherited diseases (hip problems, skin diseases, etc.).
In puppy factories, dogs grow up in cruel conditions and are shielded from the outside world. As a result, they later react fearfully or even aggressively towards people or other dogs in unfamiliar situations (lack of socialization). In addition, such dogs often have terrible and traumatizing experiences as puppies (violence, early separation from their mother, stressful transport).
Puppies without the correct rabies protection or of unknown origin are taken away from their owners. They then have to be quarantined at the owners’ expense or they are euthanized.
If foreign dogs are not correctly cleared through customs or are delivered with incorrect papers, the owners face heavy fines.
Illnesses have to be treated with expensive operations or medication. Behavioral disorders usually only get better with good dog trainers. All this leads to very high costs and a lot of stress for the owners.
If the demands or costs are too great, the owners often have no choice but to hand the dog over to an animal shelter or put it to sleep.
Appearances are deceptive: this website shows you how easy it is to place advertisements with false information. Many details about the dogs are fictitious (e.g. character, suitability, pedigree, age, state of health, etc.).
