Doberman

The Doberman has a muscular, athletic build and a slender, elegant physique. Its head is long and wedge-shaped with alert eyes. The coat is short and comes in brown and black with light brown patches, but there is also a blue breed variant.

Dobermans are known for their intelligence, alertness and protective instincts. They are very energetic and need regular exercise and mental activity. They are also very adaptive and respond well to consistent training and positive reinforcement. Dobermans often have a strong personality and can be stubborn, but with the right leadership they develop into excellent companion dogs. The Doberman was originally bred as a guard and protection dog. Even today, it still often performs this function. Dobermans are very suspicious of strangers.
