Maltese

The Maltese dog has a long, silky white coat and a graceful build, its body is compact and muscular with a short, straight back and a bushy tail. Maltese have a round head with dark button eyes and drooping ears covered with long fur.

Maltese are friendly, lively and playful dogs that build a close relationship with their owners. They are intelligent and learn quickly, making them great companions and family dogs. Unfortunately, they tend to bark a lot. However, this can be easily trained. Despite their small size, they have a lot of energy and need daily walks and playtime to stay healthy and happy.

Maltese originates from harbor dogs in the Mediterranean region. Their job was to keep rats and mice at bay in the harbors. Even today, Maltese still show a certain hunting instinct, especially when encountering small animals such as birds or rodents.
