Miniature Schnauzer

The Miniature Schnauzer has a robust, compact build and a dense, rough coat in the colors black, grey or pure white.

Miniature Schnauzers are intelligent, lively and have a strong personality. They are also loyal and affectionate to their owners, but can also be independent, loud and territorial. Miniature Schnauzers need sufficient daily exercise and mental activity to stay happy and healthy. The breed is considered easy to train and is known for its robust health.

Miniature schnauzers are descended from dogs that used to accompany coachmen on their journeys and guard their belongings. They were also supposed to keep the rats and mice in the stables at bay. Even today, the dogs are still very active, territorial and have a certain hunting instinct, especially towards small animals.
