Samoyed

The Samoyed is known for its luxuriant coat and smiling facial expression, also known as the “Samoyed smile”. Samoyeds have a thick, double-layered coat, which can be white or cream in color.

Samoyeds are friendly, lively and energetic and can make excellent companion dogs. They are also intelligent and willing to learn, but also have an independent spirit and can occasionally be stubborn. Samoyeds are known for their friendliness towards children and other pets and can fit in well with families. However, they can sometimes be a little barky.

The Siberian nomads used to use the Samoyed as a sled dog. The dogs are still active and enduring to this day and therefore need plenty of exercise.
